Languedoc borders the Mediterranean and lies between the Cevenas and the French Catalonia, contrasting territory -also known as Roussillon- This region is attractive by its diversity, the richness of its heritage, an idyllic climate, a protected environment and beautiful landscapes of a generous land.

Crossroad of times and periods, in this region you can visit Nîmes, a Roman city, as well as its antagonist, Montpellier a modern and innovative city. Languedoc is composed of four departments, as different and complementary to one another: the Gard; Herault and Aude constitute the Gulf of Lyon of the Grande Bleu, only the department of Lozere doesn't border the sea, but it is full of authenticity and the originality of the hinterland.

A wide array of activities you can do there such as trekking routes and marked trails to be walked or cycled. The Cevennes National Park includes the departments of Gard, Herault and Lozere, but also the mountains of the Pyrenees, an area with true Catalan culture, an ideal spot to admire the stunning scenery of the Languedoc. Via ferrata is another activity to do in the mountains or if you prefer, a quiet walk in family by the Lake Salagou or by the seaside.

Within the Languedoc region it is possible to practise water sports, in the sea rather than the river: it's up to you. The top attractions at the Mediterranean shores are the “optimiste”, catamaran, windsurfing, wake-boarding... Explore the river having fun with activities like rafting, hydro speed, canoying, kayaking and many more. For people who feel like flying, parachute, paraglider and basejump are available in almost all departments of the Languedoc region.
