Along the water
The Vendée region offers the beauty of different landscapes: littoral zone, marshes, forests and valleys. The coastline of Vendée is large of 240km and it counts 140km of beaches.
It's a region enriched by its heritage and history, and offers numerous amazing sites of singular beauty. Many castles are everywhere (Castle of Millière, Terre Neuve, Talmont Saint Hilaire ...) which dates back to Middle Ages. There are several interesting places to be seen during your stay such as residences from the Renaissance period, Romanesque churches, medieval fortresses and megaliths.
And if it's about gastronomy you can be delighted with all local specialities! Salt and potatoes from Noirmoutier, and the best tasty oysters at the bay Bourgneuf, widely known because of its pure water.
